Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to lead our tax team and provide expertise in tax-related activities. The successful candidate will have a strong background in tax law and regulations, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of tax professionals on client engagements, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tax-related tasks.
  • Review and analyze tax sections for working paper files, including corporate and personal tax returns, charity T2s, and information returns.
  • Prioritize workflow and delegate tasks to team members, ensuring efficient use of resources and expertise.
  • Apply tax laws and regulations to client situations, providing proactive tax planning alternatives.
  • Conduct tax research and resolve tax issues with staff, partners, and clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with current tax developments and changing laws through ongoing professional development and self-learning.
  • Manage and train tax staff, delegating work based on complexity, availability, and deadline considerations.
Requirements
  • CA designation and completion of CICA In-Depth Tax.
  • 5 years of post-In-Depth tax practical experience with exposure to a broad range of client tax issues.
  • Proven research, investigative, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated client relations skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in software programs including Caseware, Caseview, Taxprep, and MS Office.
