Job Title: Freight Forwarding Technician

Great Worldwide Logistics Co. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Freight Forwarding Technician to join our team. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for coordinating activities with other work units or departments, monitoring the movement of supplies and materials, and ensuring the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure efficient logistics operations.
  • Monitor the movement of supplies and materials between departments to prevent delays and errors.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery to maintain productivity and efficiency.
  • Resolve work problems and provide technical advice to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Coordinate activities with warehouse and production units to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Compile worksheets and specifications of orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Consult with production supervisor to schedule production runs in a cost and time-efficient manner.
  • Prepare and maintain progress and other reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate, assign, and review work to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Communicate with ships, aircraft, and other remote operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations to ensure prompt response and resolution.
  • Follow-up on issues with work orders to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Keep track of shipments to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations and practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Respond to urgent calls from individuals who find themselves in life-threatening situations and require assistance.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics of the organization to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP education.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in logistics operations.
