Nurse Specialist in Addiction Medicine

At CB Canada, we are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Addiction Medicine Program. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional care to patients recovering from various addictions within a therapeutic milieu environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide nursing care to patients across the Addiction Medicine Program, adhering to CNO standards and RNAO Best Practice Guidelines.
- Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities, directing the work of others and ensuring seamless services and programs for clients and customers.
- Contribute to fluctuating patient care needs, engaging with interdisciplinary teams and individual team members as appropriate.
- Administer psychiatric and non-psychiatric medications and treatments, ensuring necessary clinical assessments are initiated.
- Act as a preceptor, mentor, coach, or resource nurse, participating in clinical discussions, team meetings, and patient/family conferences.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse with the CNO, in good standing.
- BScN preferred, with 2+ years of experience working with patients who have a broad range of addiction and psychiatric diagnoses.
- Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act, community mental health resources, and CBT/DBT is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills and respectful communication style.
