Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse, Addiction Medicine Program

At CB Canada, we are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our Addiction Medicine Program team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional care to patients recovering from various addictions in a therapeutic milieu environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to stable patients, adhering to CNO standards and RPNAO Best Practice Guidelines
  • Support the principles of the addiction program, delivered primarily through a group model
  • Contribute to patient care needs, prioritizing and functioning effectively in a demanding environment
  • Administer medications and treatments, ensuring necessary clinical assessments are initiated
  • Engage with interdisciplinary teams and individual team members as appropriate
Requirements:
  • Licensed as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing
  • 2+ years of experience working with patients who have a broad range of addiction and psychiatric diagnoses
  • BCLS for Healthcare Providers
  • Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act and community mental health resources
