Key Responsibilities- Provide Comprehensive Patient Care: Deliver nursing care to patients recovering from addiction, prioritizing their physical and emotional well-being.
- Support Treatment Programmes: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based treatment programmes, focusing on patient-centered care and recovery.
- Assess and Manage Patient Needs: Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and develop effective care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Administer Medications and Treatments: Safely administer medications and treatments, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Facilitate Group Sessions and Team Meetings: Lead group sessions and participate in team meetings to promote collaboration and effective communication.
- Manage Crisis Situations: Respond to crisis situations, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Licensure and Certification: Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing.
- Experience and Education: 2+ years of experience working with patients with addiction and psychiatric diagnoses, with a strong understanding of CBT/DBT and group facilitation.
- Skills and Knowledge: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in computer systems and software applications.
