Regional Senior Corporate Services Officer

The Regional Senior Corporate Services Officer is responsible for overseeing financial and administrative functions within the Department of Industry, Tourism, and Investment (ITI) in the region. Reporting to the Manager of Financial Operations and receiving day-to-day guidance from the Regional Superintendent, this role is crucial in providing financial advice, managing budget preparation and control, and ensuring adherence to GNWT policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide financial guidance and support to the department
- Manage budget preparation and control
- Ensure adherence to GNWT policies and regulations
- Act as a liaison with Financial and Employee Shared Services
To excel in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of financial management standards, such as those set by the Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB), and be familiar with GNWT financial systems, policies, and relevant legislation. Essential skills would include analytical abilities for interpreting financial data, effective communication for stakeholder interactions, and proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office.
Requirements:- Diploma in finance or business
- 5 years of related progressive experience in finance and accounting
This role requires a strong understanding of financial management standards and the ability to provide financial guidance and support to the department. If you have a strong background in finance and accounting, and are looking for a challenging role, this may be the opportunity for you.
