Regional Manager Job Description

At Northview Apartment REIT, we are a dynamic and community-focused team dedicated to delivering exceptional results in the multi-residential industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Manager to join our Residential team in Yellowknife, NT.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the efficient operation of our portfolio of multi-family properties in the region, ensuring effective management and control of expenses.
  2. Provide regular reports to the Regional Director, NWT, on key performance indicators and operational metrics.
  3. Collaborate with Human Resources to manage employee relations, payroll, and benefits.
  4. Develop and implement marketing strategies to maximize rental income and occupancy rates.
  5. Ensure exceptional customer service to residents, while minimizing delinquency and maintaining a strong reputation.
  6. Manage rent collections, accounts receivable, and vendor relationships.
  7. Maintain and develop strong relationships with customers, contractors, and stakeholders.
  8. Direct the work of the facilities team, overseeing building capital expenditures and establishing long-term capital improvement programs.
  9. Facilitate timely resolution of insurance claims and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  10. Review and manage regional operating and capital expenditure budgets, ensuring effective expense control and operating costs.
  11. Assist in office administration and leasing of suites, as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum three years' management experience in residential or building management, preferably with a CPM designation.
  2. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to speak and write English fluently.
  3. Proven experience working with, managing, and creating budgets, with a strong understanding of financial management principles.
  4. Able to work independently, with a self-starter mentality and a focus on delivering exceptional results.
  5. Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  6. Possess the ability to make good hiring decisions and manage and retain employees.
  7. Ability to work weekends and on call when necessary.
