We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Victoria General Hospital. The ideal candidate will have one year of current relevant clinical nursing experience and be a graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional registered nursing services for patients with complex and unpredictable health needs. This includes independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, leadership roles within the healthcare team, and facilitating coordination of patient care and discharge.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, prioritizing individual needs and preferences
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and treatment outcomes
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Manitoba
  • One year of current relevant clinical nursing experience
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Scope of practice knowledge related to clinical area
  • Familiarity with regional policies, procedures, and guidelines

Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values, as well as those who can communicate effectively in an Indigenous language.

This is a full-time position with a salary range of approximately $83,000 - $114,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include comprehensive health and dental coverage, pension plan, and paid time off.
