Job Title: Addiction Counselor

Job Summary:

The Indigenous Women's Healing Centre is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Addiction Counselor to join our team. As an Addiction Counselor, you will provide supports and programming for residents dealing with addiction, trauma, and intergenerational family dysfunction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to residents
  • Develop and implement trauma-informed care programs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Conduct assessments and create treatment plans
  • Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., social work, counseling, psychology)
  • Experience working with Indigenous populations and trauma-informed care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Class V MB driver's license and access to a vehicle
