Job Description

Dr A Korada Inc is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our medical office.



Key Responsibilities

  • Interview patients to obtain case histories and maintain accurate records.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring smooth workflow and minimal wait times.
  • Prepare and process insurance and other claim forms in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a secure and organized filing system, both physical and digital.
  • Develop and implement office procedures and routines to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Enter and format medical reports, correspondence, and spreadsheets for review.
  • Initiate and maintain confidential patient files and records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and distribute them to relevant parties.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.


Computer and Technology Requirements

  • Proficiency in MS Word, including formatting and editing documents.
  • Experience with electronic mail and email management.
  • Skills in MS Excel, including data entry and analysis.
  • Familiarity with MS Windows and MS Outlook.


Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Work in a fast-paced medical office environment, requiring attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Hours: 30-35 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
  • Work language: English.


Requirements

  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma.
  • Experience: 1-2 years in a medical administrative role.
