Job Title: Trades and Post-Secondary Teacher

Chalo Independent School Society is seeking a qualified Trades and Post-Secondary Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our instructional team, you will be responsible for providing instruction for Trades for Prekindergarten to Grade 12 in addition to Post-Secondary.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective and research-based planning, instructional and assessment practices in consultation with colleagues.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of our students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and achievement.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
Requirements:
  • Successful classroom teaching or practicum experience.
  • Knowledge of and willingness to use and learn current best practices in education.
  • Familiarity with BC's newly redesigned curriculum.
  • A strong team orientation and desire to collaborate with educators.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills.
  • A desire to grow professionally through coaching.
  • A willingness to learn and use school programs.
  • A clear Criminal Record Check, vulnerable sector.
