Sheridan at CCTT in Fort Erie, Ontario is looking for outstanding individuals to join our faculty team in the Plumbing post-secondary and apprentice programs. These programs provide students with a high degree of practical skills and theoretical knowledge in the industrial sector.

Sheridan at CCTT Instructors develop an effective learning environment for students while respecting their diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, experiences, and individual learning styles.

**ROLE: PLUMBING INSTRUCTORS**

**What You Will Be Doing**
- Deliver engaging lesson plans in classroom and/or online, which includes ensuring student awareness of course objectives, approach, and evaluation techniques.
- Define, evaluate, and validate learning outcomes and design appropriate strategies and tools for assessing student learning.
- Develop individualized instruction and multi-media presentations and incorporate technology into the learning process where applicable.
- Provide hands-on demonstrations and practical exercises.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with other instructors to enhance the learning experience.
- Attending periodic faulty meetings.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- Licensed Plumber (Trade Code 306A) in good standing with the Ontario College of Trades OR Interprovincial Red Seal Plumber.
- 8 years’ experience as a plumber in the field.
- Ability to demonstrate mastery of current materials, tools/equipment, and industry practices.
- Certificate of Qualification in 429A, 430A, 431A, 443A, 430M or 630T.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to convey the conceptual and applied aspects of knowledge to a broad range of students.
- Committed to excellence in teaching and learning and to working within a team environment.
- Availability to teach daytime and some evenings.

**Preferred Skills & Qualifications**
- Experience in teaching and curriculum development at the post-secondary level or equivalent experience as a trainer in industry.
- Ontario Water Works Association certification in installation and testing of Back Flow Devices would be an asset (B64 legislation).
- G2 or G1 Gas Technician license is an asset.
- Formal studies in adult or higher education an asset.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems, especially the D2L platform, is an asset.
- Experience as a trainer in industry is an asset.
- Experience in curriculum development at the post-secondary level or equivalent.
- Formal studies in adult or higher education an asset

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 22 per week
