Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide cognitive, social, and emotional support to residents, promoting their comfort, safety, and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring residents' physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Perform nursing care procedures, including vital sign monitoring, and document changes in residents' conditions.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while respecting residents' autonomy and dignity.
  • Participate in shift reports, ensuring seamless communication and continuity of care.
  • Utilize equipment and supplies effectively, adhering to policies and procedures, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Provide ongoing support to colleagues, advocating for residents' rights and promoting a positive, respectful work environment.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent required.
  • PSW Certificate or equivalent required.
  • Active CPR certification required.
  • Previous experience in healthcare or senior care an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
