Description:
- We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Resident Services Attendant to join our team at Verve Senior Living. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents.
- Under the direction of the Health & Wellness Manager, you will deliver care based on individual care plans, policies, and procedures, and established standards of care and duties.
- You will work collaboratively with the care team to provide feedback on care plans and participate in continuous quality improvement standards.
- Responsibilities will include providing cognitive, social, and emotional support to residents, as well as performing nursing care procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- You will also be responsible for observing and reporting/documenting changes in residents' physical and emotional condition, as well as monitoring vital signs.
- Maintaining health records in compliance with legislations and participating in shift report to oncoming staff are also essential aspects of this role.
- Additional responsibilities may include serving beverages and resident meals, assisting with housekeeping and laundry duties, and maintaining adequate stock of supplies.
- As a Certified Resident Services Attendant, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and contribute to the overall success of our community.
Requirements:
- Minimum of grade 12 education required.
- Has obtained certificate from an approved Health Care Aide or PSW program.
- Certified in Emergency First Aid, and CPR is required.
- Previous experience as a Health Care Aide/Resident Services Attendant working with seniors is considered an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in the English language, nurturing excellent human relations with residents, families, and other team members.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and to evaluate and meet resident care needs, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable, responsible, and an ability to work well with others in a team environment and independently.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude necessary to meet the goals and standards of the residence.
Additional Qualifications:
- PSW certificate, Active CPR is required.
