Senior Solar Energy Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solar Energy Analyst to join our team at DNV. As a key member of our Utility-Scale Solar Energy Assessment team, you will be responsible for assessing the solar resource and expected energy output of proposed or operational solar projects across North America.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct long-term solar resource and energy production assessments
  • Analyze climatic data and operational production and performance data from solar plants
  • Predict energy production and conduct statistical uncertainty analyses
  • Write technical reports and communicate results to customers
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering, atmospheric science, or quantitative field
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in solar resource assessment or modeling
  • Understanding of solar resource variability and its impact on energy estimates
  • Proficient working with MS Office Word/Excel and data analysis tools (Python, R, SQL, MATLAB, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Previous experience as a renewable energy consultant
  • Understanding of renewable energy industry measurement techniques and standards
