The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor to lead our Terry Fox House program. As a key member of our Justice Services team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operation of the program, including budgeting, financial oversight, and maintaining Ministry compliance and licensing standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver programming that meets the needs and goals of individual youth
  • Oversee and ensure that all operational requirements are youth-centered and the program is in compliance with all funder and agency policies and procedures
  • Lead a staff team of up to 25, including full-time, part-time, and relief employees
  • Develop and support team members to grow and maintain professional skills through ongoing coaching and feedback
  • Accountable for recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, and evaluation of staff, students, and volunteers
  • Support the Assistant Supervisor in staffing and scheduling needs, including documentation and payroll
  • Model the agency's philosophy and mission statement, as well as the program's Values and Beliefs at all times
  • Rotational on-call responsibilities
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in the Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or related field
  • Minimum five years' experience working with youth, youth justice, or social services
  • Minimum 3 years' leadership experience directly managing staff teams
  • Demonstrated experience in crisis prevention and intervention
  • Direct experience engaging with diverse populations and an ability to apply a culturally responsive lens to all interactions, including program implementation and capacity-building with young people
  • Satisfactory vulnerable sector screening (VSS)
