Job Title: Supervisor at Non-24 Hour Housing Program

Homes First Society is seeking a skilled and compassionate Supervisor to join our team at the Non-24 Hour Housing Program. As a Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting our staff and clients in achieving their goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a unionized workforce within the context of the Collective Agreement.
  • Provide case management expertise and support to the Housing staff.
  • Develop and implement programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of Homes First performances and practices.
  • Manage employee performance and perform necessary administrative duties.
  • Implement and maintain a system for collecting relevant statistics needed for evaluations and funding proposals.
  • Manage databases, case management systems, and billing systems.
  • Ensure effective communications with other departments within Homes First Society and with external agencies.
  • Prioritize and assign responsibilities and duties to team members.
  • Work with frontline staff to develop individualized case plans with tenants and help them achieve their goals.
  • Ensure that all documentation is completed to agency standards.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent in education and experience.
  • At least 3 years' experience working with people who are homeless, under-housed, and dealing with addictions and mental illness.
  • At least 1 year's experience supervising unionized staff.
  • Demonstrated experience performing assessment, advocacy, referral, and case management functions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, standards, and guidelines, including the Ontario Landlord and Tenant Board.
  • Knowledge of resources and services available in the community.
