About the Role

At Mos Mos Coffee, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Café Operations Supervisor to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our café, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of staff, monitoring their performance, and providing guidance and support when needed. They will also be responsible for planning and organizing daily operations, recruiting staff, setting work schedules, supervising staff, and training new employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including managing inventory and supplies.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Set work schedules and ensure that staff are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Supervise staff and provide guidance and support when needed.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in the food service industry.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Safe Food Handling certificate (or equivalent).
  • Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment, withstanding physical demands and adapting to changing circumstances. The successful candidate must be able to work under pressure and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.

Salary Information

The salary for this role is estimated to be between $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
