Supervisor of Accounting - 14 Month Assignment

The Greater Essex County District School Board invites applications from qualified, team-oriented individuals for the non-bargaining, temporary full-time position of Supervisor of Accounting within the Business Department.

The position is expected to provide leadership and oversight to the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, with experience in supervising and mentoring staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the accounting team in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on financial matters
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
