Highway Maintenance Electrician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Highway Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Goulais River, Ontario.
Job SummaryLedcor Highway Maintenance offers long-term stable career opportunities with guaranteed contracts of at least 7 years. This position provides the stability of year-round employment, allowing you to make long-term plans while being part of a great team dedicated to safe operations and community safety.
Duties and Responsibilities- Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, architectural drawings and electrical code specifications
- Pulling cables and cable tray installation
- Wire lighting fixtures, plugs, switches, control panels
- Install electrical systems and other related electrical equipment
- Test circuits to ensure integrity and safety
- Completion of documentation and inspection reporting as required
- Willing to act as a mentor to apprentice Electricians
- Working as part of a team while still able to complete work remotely and in accordance with all safety policies and expectations
Certified Journeyperson with previous experience in an industrial setting or be a registered apprentice from a recognized provincial authority.
Previous experience in a new construction, maintenance, or live plant setting.
Physically fit with the ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb stairs on a regular basis.
A valid Driver's License and or a clear driver's abstract.
Compensation and BenefitsThis position comes with an estimated annual salary of $65,000-$80,000 based on industry standards and location.
We also offer accommodations and transportation for up to 80% of your time spent traveling to various locations including Wawa, White River, Thessalon, Bruce Mines, Blind River, Chapleau, Hornepayne, etc.
