The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recreation therapy or a related field, with a proven ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others. As a Recreation Therapist Coordinator, you will supervise up to four Activity Worker II positions, provide direction to designated volunteers, and work closely with a Recreation Therapist or appropriate designate to carry out therapeutic components of resident care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate recreational/leisure programs for residents'/clients' health and well-being
  • Supervise up to four Activity Worker II positions and provide direction to designated volunteers
  • Work closely with a Recreation Therapist or appropriate designate to carry out therapeutic components of resident care plans
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams to ensure high-quality care

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a recognized recreational program plus one year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • A valid Class IV vehicle license as required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others
