Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Homeless Shelter Program Coordinator to join our team at The Salvation Army Canada and Bermuda Territory. This is a permanent full-time position that offers an estimated salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year.

About the Role

This role will be responsible for supervising support staff and providing administrative and office activities in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and handle confidential situations with tact and discretion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise support staff in the provision of services for the homeless
  • Manage administrative and office activities, including record-keeping and data entry
  • Provide crisis intervention and resolve conflict situations with dignity and respect
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in social work, human services, or a related field
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Criminal record check
