Job Summary

The ShiftKey Program Coordinator will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing all aspects of ShiftKey Academy programming and events, including extra-curricular programming focused on skill development through certifications, workshops, and courses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the ShiftKey Manager and partners to develop a robust program portfolio, including the development of new programs and activities.
  • Identify new partners or opportunities to enhance ShiftKey's capabilities in expanding its programming.
  • Manage various projects, including the planning, organization, and execution of Academy events and programs.
  • Represent ShiftKey at relationship-building events, such as networking events, conferences, and student engagement activities.
  • Coordinate communications and marketing for ShiftKey programs.
  • Support the ShiftKey Manager in administrative tasks, such as program budgeting, data collection, and management.
Required Qualifications
  • An undergraduate degree with approximately two years' experience in a coordinator role or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • A high degree of organizational skill, interpersonal acumen, and problem-solving ability to provide oversight in balancing the many responsibilities related to this role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and an enthusiasm for working with students.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and be proactive.
Assets
  • Demonstrated event planning and marketing experience.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have experience working in the tech industry of Nova Scotia in a technical or project management role.
  • A proven interest and understanding of trends and needs in computer science.
