About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dining Room Manager to join our team at Sri Anagha Datta Society of Calgary. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that we have the necessary supplies to meet customer demand.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe environment for our guests and staff.
  • Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies to ensure the best possible prices and quality.
  • Operations Management: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure that our dining room runs efficiently and effectively.
  • Security and Safety: Conduct criminal record checks and ensure that all staff members are aware of and follow our security and safety protocols.
  • Transportation and Travel: Ensure that all staff members have a valid driver's license and own vehicle, and that they are aware of our transportation and travel policies.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate flexibility, organization, reliability, and the ability to multitask to ensure that our dining room runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Experience: Have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of food service operations and management.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
