Airport Security Operations Director

We are seeking a seasoned Airport Security Operations Director to lead our team in providing exceptional service delivery at Winnipeg Airport.
About the RoleThis leadership position will oversee all aspects of airport security operations, ensuring seamless execution of screening services while maintaining high standards of efficiency and effectiveness. The successful candidate will provide strategic guidance to Operations Managers, foster strong relationships with staff, clients, and stakeholders, and champion our CARE culture values.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide direction, mentorship, and coaching to Operations Managers, driving operational excellence and accountability throughout the organization.
- Collaboration and Communication: Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with staff, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
- Risk Management and Quality Assurance: Identify risks, assess overall efficiency and effectiveness, and implement measures to prevent security breaches, improve throughput, and enhance customer service.
- Budget Management: Manage budget (billable and non-billable hours, headcount requirements) to ensure optimal resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.
- Operational Excellence: Deliver exceptional results, meeting or exceeding KPIs and SLAs, and driving continuous improvement through data analysis and sound strategic decisions.
- Culture Champion: Embed our CARE culture values by aligning operational deliverables with the employee experience, fostering a positive work environment, and promoting accountability, respect, and excellence.
- Experience: 7+ years of management experience, preferably managing a large workforce, with expertise in heavily regulated environments and/or the Aviation industry.
- Educational Background: Diploma or Degree in a related field (e.g., Criminology, Business) is a strong asset.
- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership, management, and mentorship excellence, with expertise in leading unionized workforces.
- Communication and Analytical Skills: Strong business acumen, expert communication skills, and ability to analyze data and make sound strategic decisions.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to support dynamic and high-stakes environments, with flexibility to travel occasionally.
The salary for this role is approximately $80,000-$110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including [insert details].
