**Job Summary**

The Slating Clerk - Diagnostic Services plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and service at Shared Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for scheduling patients and appointments for Diagnostic Services examinations.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Coordinate patient scheduling for Diagnostic Services examinations, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, medical staff, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Utilize Diagnostic Services scheduling systems and applications to manage patient appointments and schedules.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date patient information.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing policies, procedures, and technologies to maintain high-quality service delivery.

**Requirements**

  • Two (2) years' experience in a hospital or clinic setting, preferably in a scheduling or coordination role.
  • One (1) year experience in scheduling patients' procedures/tests, with a focus on Diagnostic Services.
  • One (1) year experience with Diagnostic Services scheduling systems and applications within the last five (5) years.
  • Grade 12 education (MB Standards) and completion of a recognized medical terminology course or program, Level 1 and 2 (or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), as well as Internet applications, and computer skills related to an electronic health record environment.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population and maintain confidentiality.
