Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Educator to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare sector. As a Nurse Educator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs that support the growth and development of nurses in our organization.

You will work closely with our nursing teams to assess their learning needs, design and deliver targeted education, and evaluate program effectiveness. Your expertise in adult learning principles and teaching strategies will enable you to create engaging and effective educational experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs for nurses in various settings, including home care, hospital, and community-based environments.
  • Provide expert guidance on nursing practices, policies, and procedures, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify learning needs, develop training plans, and facilitate workshops, presentations, and online modules.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness, gather feedback, and refine educational content to meet evolving needs.
Requirements
  • A minimum of four years' experience in nursing, preferably with a focus on education, training, or quality improvement.
  • A Master's degree in Nursing or related field is preferred; additional certifications in adult education or instructional design are an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, teaching strategies, and curriculum development.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $83,000 - $104,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
