Job Summary

Onico Solutions is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to support our growing office in Georgetown, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering and supporting our various system portals, including cloud-based systems, SQL, VPN, Exchange, Access, and VMware environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setup and maintain server and workstation infrastructure in all locations
  • Collaborate with internal partners to design and implement reporting templates
  • Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, VMware, and other processes
  • Maintain Exchange and Citrix-based interfaces
  • Review current setups and ensure that each location is running current software
  • Ensure that all licensing requirements are met and maintained
  • Provide technical support to end-users and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Purchase computer equipment in a cost-effective manner
  • Maintain email and SPAM filtering systems
  • Install new wiring for phones and computer networks as required
  • Coordinate disaster recovery plans with internal partners
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

  • 4+ years of related experience
  • Hands-on experience running SQL reports and reporting
  • Good understanding of VOIP telecommunications
  • Experience supporting and setting up VPNs (virtual private networks)
  • Experience supporting Exchange Servers
  • VMware experience
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Navision (NAV)
  • Cloud-based computing experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and various software packages
  • Ability to multitask various projects as required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of employees and managers
  • Some infrequent travel to the US required

Benefits

This is a permanent position located in Georgetown, ON with an annual salary of $70,000.
