About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Administrator to join our team at GLOBALTELEHOST CORP. as a key member of our IT department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Administration: Coordinate access and use of computer networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance.
  • System Installation: Install software, web server hardware, and operating system software to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Network Maintenance: Troubleshoot and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor the performance of computer systems and networks to identify areas for improvement.
  • Security Measures: Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures to protect our clients' sensitive information.
  • Backup and Recovery: Perform routine network start-up and close-down, maintain control records, and execute data backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • Network Optimization: Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet, and implement network traffic and security monitoring software to optimize server performance.
  • Web Development: Modify Web pages, applets, and scripts to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Customer Support: Respond to requests for help and information from Website visitors and designers, providing timely and effective solutions.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Server farm environment.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
