As a senior executive at FINTRAC, you will play a crucial role in shaping the direction and success of the organization. This requires a combination of strategic vision, leadership skills, and operational expertise. You will be responsible for setting and executing the strategic direction in alignment with the organization's overall mandate goals.

You will ensure the development of strategies, priorities, and plans, and mobilize personnel to implement tactical, strategic, and operational policy plans and processes designed to enhance FINTRAC's capacity to combat money laundering, terrorist activity financing, or other activities posing a threat to the security of Canada.

You will be accountable for implementing a risk-based approach, tailoring strategy and tactical responses to fit the assessed risks. As a FINTRAC senior executive, you will work with colleagues to ensure alignment and collaboration across the organization.

You may be required to lead or participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives. You will drive innovation and growth, identifying new opportunities for expansion and modernization, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and encouraging creative thinking.

You will identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

You will provide executive leadership in establishing positive and collaborative relationships with various partners, stakeholders, and reporting entities.

You will provide a continued policy lens, operational expertise, and leadership on evolving legislative, regulatory, and policy issues to support and advance the achievement of the Centre's vision, objectives, and goals.

Senior executives at FINTRAC play a critical role in guiding the organization towards its strategic objectives, requiring a combination of visionary leadership, operational expertise, and strong interpersonal skills.

Education
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Experience
Significant experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations to senior officials on sensitive and complex policy and program issues.

Significant experience in setting strategic direction and providing leadership in operational service delivery or development of policies and programs that have an organization-wide impact.

Significant experience in building and managing partnerships, and in consulting and negotiating with other levels of government, industry, and national or international organizations.

Significant experience at the executive level in the management of human and financial resources.

Asset
Significant senior-level experience in the banking industry.

Significant experience at a senior level in risk management, finance, or in a regulatory environment.

Significant experience in working and liaising with various internal and external stakeholders, including security and intelligence agencies.

Significant experience in leading the development and analysis of complex cross-cutting social, economic, or security policies and programs.

Significant experience as an executive providing leadership and executive oversight for large-scale business transformation or change management initiatives.

Significant experience in leading analysis and developing responses to complex policy or risk issues related to a regulated sector.

Definitions
Significant is defined as having the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of the duties during a period of three (3) years.

Senior-level refers to Director General or equivalent Vice-President in the private sector.
