About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Operator to join our team at Acier Fati inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our metalworking machines to produce high-quality metal products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Lay out, set up, and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines to cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld, or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products.
  • Quality Control: Check products for correct shapes, dimensions, and other specifications to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Maintenance: Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Documentation: Document work completed and any issues encountered during the production process.
  • Problem-Solving: Investigate problems to fix or make minor repairs to machinery and equipment.
Work Environment

As a Metal Fabrication Operator, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and productivity. You will be required to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Language: Fluency in English or French is required.
