Work Environment

The role is set in a noisy environment typical of metalworking facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect products to ensure they meet specified shapes, dimensions, and other criteria.
  • Maintain machinery by cleaning and lubricating equipment regularly.
  • Manipulate metal stock through cutting, bending, rolling, reaming, punching, drilling, welding, and other shaping processes.
  • Document completed work accurately.
  • Identify and troubleshoot minor issues to perform repairs.
  • Set up and operate various light or heavy metalworking machines.
  • Interpret specifications and follow verbal instructions effectively.
  • Transport materials to the work area, either manually or using equipment like cranes or hoists.
