Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled welder to join our team at Hitachi Energy Canada Inc. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to interpret assembly drawings and proficiently weld both simple and intricate components, including piping systems, in accordance with production documentation and directives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and execute assembly drawings for welding various components.
- Utilize electric winches, forklifts, and overhead cranes for handling components and assemblies.
- Inspect and rectify weld leaks to meet specified standards and established practices.
- Occasionally mark, assemble, and tack weld both simple and complex components as per provided documentation.
- Perform soldering, grinding, and marking of copper foils within tanks or other assemblies.
- Mitigate distortion during soldering processes.
- Conduct soldering and desoldering of current transformer components.
- Complete necessary check sheets and documentation as required.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a vocational studies diploma following 18 months to 2 years of training.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant welding experience.
- Proficient in the use of oxy-acetylene equipment and electric arc welding techniques (SMAW, GMAW, SAW, FCAW, pulsed arc) across various metals and positions.
