Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Wildlife Biologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and participating in field teams, conducting environmental impact assessments, and providing technical leadership and mentorship within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and participate in field teams in various disciplines, including wildlife, birds, fish, aquatic habitat, water quality, vegetation, soils, wetlands, environmental monitoring, sediment, and erosion control.
  • Contribute to environmental impact assessments, mitigation plans, and proposals.
  • Assist in preparing and obtaining regulatory approvals for a wide variety of projects, including transportation, renewable energy, mining, oil, and gas.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship within a team environment.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and work collaboratively within corporate culture.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a B.Sc. in Biology or related discipline with five years of experience.
  • RPBio, PBiol, and/or P.Ag. designation or eligibility.
  • Courses or certifications in electrofishing, fish identification, bird survey methodology, amphibian salvage methodology, and erosion and sediment control.
  • Sound knowledge of field techniques and regulatory standards necessary for conducting a variety of field activities.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management skills, and physical fitness.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, desire to grow business, and work closely with other environmental professionals, environmental discipline leads, and First Nations.
