Job Overview

Catholic Social Services is seeking a dedicated Family Enrichment Worker to join our Collaborative Service Delivery team in Edmonton. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and families through early intervention and family-driven practice.

This position requires workers to engage families by teaching parenting and communication skills, supporting access to community resources, coordinating other services, and facilitating family visitations. You will be responsible for determining family needs through assessments and creating service plans in collaboration with families. Your strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills will be essential in leading innovative service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a diploma/degree in Human Services or equivalent, along with a minimum three years of related experience, including knowledge of community resources and family intervention. Experience working with children and youth experiencing mental health issues, and/or addictions is also required.

Key Responsibilities

- Work collaboratively with regional staff to meet client needs under the casework practice model
- Complete ongoing case planning, review, and evaluation of service appropriateness and level
- Organize service delivery with families, stakeholders, and internal ministries
- Support parents/caregivers in overcoming barriers to achieving identified goals
- Deliver services from a strength-based family systems approach
- Maintain awareness of applicable community resources and advocate for clients when necessary
- Provide resources and model effective problem-solving strategies related to client goals

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Diploma/degree in Human Services or equivalent
- Minimum three years of related experience, including knowledge of community resources and family intervention
- Experience working with children and youth experiencing mental health issues, and/or addictions
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and third-party liability insurance
- Police Information Check, Intervention Record Check, and Summary of Driver's Abstract
