Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our team as a Youth Connector. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in building strong relationships with families and stakeholders, while providing supportive services to youth in need.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement personalized support plans for each youth, focusing on expanding their circle of support and promoting positive relationships.
  2. Conduct thorough assessments to identify potential risks and develop effective safety plans within the Signs of Safety Framework.
  3. Work collaboratively with Indigenous communities to create cultural awareness and promote meaningful connections among youth.
  4. Apply Trauma-Informed Care principles to help youth understand and address past traumas, promoting resilience and well-being.
  5. Pursue successful transitions of youth out of Children's Services, leveraging evidence-based practices to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Child & Youth Care, Social Work, or related field.
  • Significant experience working with vulnerable populations, preferably in Trauma-Informed Care settings.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including families, youth, and community members.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
