Position Summary

As a key member of the Groupe Leclerc team, the Maintenance Reliability Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing a standardized preventive maintenance program across our Canadian and US plants. This role will collaborate with technical experts to enhance risk management, improve maintenance practices, and optimize spare parts selection.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the implementation of reliability standards and organizational processes to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Train and support maintenance departments in conducting risk assessments to identify critical equipment and prioritize maintenance activities.
  • Lead or support the implementation of reliability projects to optimize equipment performance and reliability, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Support plants in reviewing and optimizing their maintenance plans and critical spare parts based on Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), root cause analyses, and field feedback.
  • Investigate equipment failures to identify root causes, prescribe corrective actions, and assist plants in implementing recommendations.
  • Provide recommendations to plants to improve machinery performance and reliability based on condition assessment and equipment performance data.
  • Identify, benchmark, and support Maintenance Departments in selecting and implementing relevant predictive maintenance technologies.
  • Monitor and analyze performance indicators for maintenance programs.
  • Support and identify training opportunities to enhance the expertise and skills of Maintenance Teams.
  • Support the safety program and engage in POKA publications and calls for assistance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as mechanical or electrical engineering, or a college diploma in maintenance analysis, industrial maintenance, or a related area.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant reliability engineer experience within the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience leading Root Cause Failure Analyses, Criticality Assessments, and FMEA's.
  • Strong experience with CMMS tools, with SAP software knowledge preferred but not required.
  • Technical knowledge of production equipment, electrical systems, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Recognized for leadership, teamwork, analytical skills, attention to detail, change management abilities, and ease of communication and problem-solving in a team, combined with a results-oriented approach.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in both French and English, spoken and written.
