About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Health Care Worker to join our team at Alert Best Nursing and Home Care. As a Home Health Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training: You will have a strong educational background, preferably with a certificate or diploma in a related field, such as Personal Support Work or a related healthcare discipline.
  • Work Site Environment: You will be working in a non-smoking environment, which requires you to be smoke-free and respectful of our clients' preferences.
  • Certifications and Licenses: You will hold current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Personal Support Work, which are essential for providing quality care to our clients.
  • Target Audience: You will be working with adults, providing care and support that meets their unique needs and preferences.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will also be required to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: You will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be punctual, and have a strong client focus. You will also be reliable, organized, and a team player.
  • Screening Questions: You will be required to answer screening questions, including whether you are currently legally able to work in Canada.
Experience and Work Schedule
  • Experience: You will have at least 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of the needs and preferences of adults.
  • Work Schedule: You will work a regular schedule of 35 to 45 hours per week, with a focus on providing high-quality care and support to our clients.
