Job Description:

No.70 Cake is seeking a highly skilled Food Services Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cake shop. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that all food products meet the highest quality standards and are prepared in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets to determine costs of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen, and cleaning supplies
  • Daily Operations: Evaluate daily operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure smooth service
  • Menu Planning: Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to budgetary constraints
  • Labor Management: Monitor revenues to determine labor costs and adjust staffing levels accordingly
  • Staff Supervision: Train, supervise, and motivate staff to provide excellent customer service
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to prevent stockouts and overstocking
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to protect employees and customers

Credentials and Qualifications:

  • Education: College/CEGEP degree or equivalent
  • Experience: At least 7 months of experience in food services management
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate

Work Conditions:

  • Physical Demands: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail required to ensure high-quality food products

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a comprehensive training program.
