Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team at Hood Packaging Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving process improvements and reducing production costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement waste reduction projects to minimize environmental impact and optimize resource utilization.
  • Analyze and improve existing products by proposing and supporting changes in manufacturing processes to reduce production costs and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the development team to support new business opportunities and drive innovation.
  • Lead continuous improvement workgroups with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Support management in engineering processes and equipment efficiency initiatives.
  • Investigate and provide solutions to recurring problems that lead to non-conformance or loss of production and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or a technical degree with 5-10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, MRP, and/or experience with Six Sigma.
  • Bilingualism in French and English.
  • Organized, results-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of mechanical controls an asset.
