About the Role:

Clerical Support Associates play a vital part in the success of our Bariatric Clinic, Surgical Program at Humber River Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining patient records, and supporting our clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clerical support, including patient registration, discharge, and maintenance of patient records.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, responding to patient inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience for all patients and visitors.
  • Communicate effectively with bed allocation and other departments to arrange patient placement.
  • Collaborate with other departments and service areas as required.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Secretarial and medical terminology courses preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology essential.
  • Minimum one year of full-time clerical experience required, preferably in an outpatient healthcare setting.
  • Computer skills and keyboarding speed of 40 wpm required.
  • Meditech computer experience a plus.
  • Community-wide scheduling experience an asset.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
