About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at 9146-6573 Québec inc. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Dishwashing: Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and place them in storage areas.
  • Food Preparation: Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, scour pots and pans, portion and wrap foods, prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
  • Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, and stock refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Housekeeping: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, and handle and store cleaning products.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
  • Food Handling: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Physical Demands: Repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
