Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at 9146-6573 Québec inc. as a Cook's helper.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Dishroom Operations: Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and place them in storage areas.
  • Hand Washing and Sanitizing: Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and scour pots and pans to ensure they are clean and free of food residue.
  • Food Preparation: Portion and wrap foods, prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, and serve customers at counters or buffet tables.
  • Inventory Management: Stock refrigerators and salad bars, and receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Housekeeping: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
  • Food Handling: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, and handle and store cleaning products.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: The successful candidate will be required to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Weight Handling: The candidate will be required to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) on a regular basis.

  • Client Focus: The successful candidate will be required to provide excellent customer service and maintain a client-focused attitude.
