Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Alamos Gold. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of mechanics and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mobile equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, communicate, and follow work for assigned mechanical team members.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and practices.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
  • Hold yourself and team members accountable for safety and performance targets.
  • Perform workplace inspections and plan corrective measures as needed.
  • Report daily work planned and realized using provided tools.
  • Conduct monthly health and safety meetings with crews.
  • Answer queries and handle requests related to maintenance and mechanical operations.
  • Maximize equipment utilization and minimize downtime.
  • Prepare reports and complete documentation related to mechanical operations.
  • Collaborate with procurement to purchase equipment for current and future needs.
  • Assist the General Foreman and Superintendent in hiring mechanics.
  • Complete time entry, vacation requests, and scheduling.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Technical training or certification or Diploma of Collegial Studies.
  • 5-8 years of related experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in supervisory roles.
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations for Mines and Mining Plants.
  • Self-starter with ability to anticipate needs and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to facilitate commitment to a cooperative team effort.
  • Good communication skills, both orally and written, with internal and external contacts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
