X-Ray/CT Technologist Role
The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre seeks a skilled Radiological Technologist to perform radiographic procedures with minimal supervision. This role requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply and prescribe ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of technical procedures, including general radiography and minor special procedures
- Maintain continuing education requirements for CMRITO
- Work with students from affiliated radiologic schools as needed
- Demonstrate excellent patient care techniques
Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduate from a recognized accredited school of Radiological Technology
- Registered in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario
Experience:
- Demonstrated clinical competency in all aspects of general radiography and minor special procedures
- CT imaging experience or willingness to be trained required
Competencies:
- Working knowledge of Safety Code 35
- Working knowledge of RHPA
- Working knowledge of standards of practice for related field
- Able to identify and recommend process improvement opportunities
- Able to work independently and co-operatively as part of a team
- Recent satisfactory performance appraisal
- Recent satisfactory attendance record
- No recent disciplinary events
Applicants must have a minimum educational requirement of Grade 12 or equivalent and demonstrate proven workplace excellence through commitment to strong job performance and attendance.
Please note that as a Regional Health Centre, our operations run 24/7. Depending on the program, it may be an expectation that you are available to work weekdays and weekends, as well as all shifts - days, evenings, and nights.
