The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing cable signals and associated equipment, installing and maintaining aerial and underground telephone equipment, and testing trunking systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment
  • Test trunking systems
  • Install trunking systems, circuits and equipment
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures
  • Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access
  • Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Working Conditions:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Permanent position
  • English language required
