Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced professional with 1-2 years of experience in the field. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of installation and maintenance procedures for aerial and underground telephone equipment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining trunking systems, circuits, and equipment, testing equipment to locate transmission faults, and instructing apprentices. They will also be required to complete and maintain test and service reports, determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble, and climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures.
In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for connecting, disconnecting, and relocating cable outlets, determining work assignments, and installing cable modems and software to enable Internet access. They will also be required to maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems, repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers, and splice, join, and connect wires.
The Cable Television Installation Technician Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our telecommunications infrastructure. Requirements- 1-2 years of experience in the field
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
