About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Speech-language Pathologist to join our team at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC. As a Relief Part Time SLP, you will work directly with clients and/or with their caregivers or other persons who regularly interact with these people for the purpose of creating environments that promote optimal communication and swallowing for adults requiring this care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the organization and the overall goals of the department/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research and education.
  • Assess and intervene in areas of communication and swallowing for adults requiring this care.
  • Work collaboratively with a dynamic and dedicated team of caring professionals to create environments that promote optimal communication and swallowing.
Requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to connect with people from all types of backgrounds.
  • Ability to be creative in supporting clients' goals while adhering to program guidelines.
  • Ability to respectfully communicate and resolve conflict in a timely manner.
