About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Speech-language Pathologist to join our team at the Kamloops Public Health Unit. As a key member of our Early Childhood Development team, you will work with children aged birth-to-school entry and their parents/caregivers to provide screening, assessment, intervention, coaching, and education in all areas of speech, language, and communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in screening, assessment, intervention, coaching, and education with children and their caregivers
  • Collaborate with professionals from the Ministry of Children & Family Development, Ministry of Education, and local community organizations
  • Work with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers and their caregivers, with a focus on supporting their goals and adhering to program guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, and resolve conflicts in a timely and respectful manner
