Senior Process Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Systems Design Lead to join our team at oilandgas. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing design solutions and assessments for new, updated, and modified process systems, structures, and components.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement process design solutions that meet or exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead a team of engineers in the design and analysis of process systems, ensuring adherence to project delivery requirements and schedule.
- Perform design and analysis of hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers at lower grade levels and/or other technical employees.
- Support Engineering Management with timely updates on engineering progress and ensure adherence to company quality program.
- Prepare and/or review design documents, including design calculations, design requirements, assessments, technical specifications, drawings, bill of materials, and system code classification.
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario.
- Engineering degree from an accredited University in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or Engineering Science.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in process-system design/analysis, preferably providing design solutions for CANDU nuclear power plants or BWR/PWR markets.
- Experience performing work to nuclear power plants procedures and practices and qualifications for nuclear power plants engineering activities is an asset.
- Strong technical knowledge of all aspects encompassing CANDU nuclear processes, analyses, equipment, and control.
- Experience performing heat balance and thermalhydraulic evaluations.
- Experience in process system design and layout.
- Knowledge of analytical tools used for mechanical and process design, such as ANSYS, Mathcad, Flomaster, NUCIRC, CATHENA, or similar.
- Working knowledge of/experience using nuclear Codes and Standards, including CSA N285.0 and ASME Section III.
- Working knowledge of/experience with the CSA B51 standard, ASME B31.1 codes, and other nuclear-power-plant applicable standards or regulatory guides related to permanent plant components, pressure boundary equipment, and/or reactor systems.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Site experience in construction, or commissioning of plant mechanical systems for nuclear or other heavy industries is an asset.
- Eligible for Security Clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
